Well, as my sister already posted on her family blog, three Sundays ago (wow we are still behind) Hank was dedicated at First Baptist Church in Bristol.
We were hoping he could wear the dedication gown that I wore as a baby, but he is already too big for the outfit! We were afraid to even try it on, as Hank could have Hulked out and ripped it. After all, that gown is thirty klf ggvf;lg -something years old.
Here is Hank with his proud Mama, aren't they both awesome?
As Jane noted, you can see Pop-Pop serving as Deacon of the Week. Doesn't he look proud?
Pastor Dave took him from us and prayed over him.
Then walked him around and introduced him to the congregation.
Alison and I were scared to death, because moments before the pastor took him, Hank pooped for the first time in two days. We had been waiting for him to do it, but were certain it would not come mere moments before we handed him off. But we wrapped a blanket around him and he did great.
This was before church, but Alison liked our slightly similar outfits.
The lunch afterward was really fun. Alison made lasagna, her mom made a great salad, and dad made apple cake. Delicious. Here's Alison's brother David, eyeballing the food.
Here are Hank's six cousins from the Scanlan side.
Everyone wanted to sign Hank's new quilt. We will treasure this.
Here's Dad and the Pastor hanging out. In case you did not know, Dad was a bit sick this Sunday.
All in all it was a pretty fun Sunday. I will have more pictures from this day, hat tip to Hank's Big Poppy for taking these photos.
