An April Story-Alison out of town

Back in April, Alison went with her friend Becky to Pigeon Forge, so Hank and I had a day to blow waiting for her to get back, as we were going to a birthday party that evening. Hank and I went over to my sister's house to hang out for a bit and have lunch.

After we ate, Hank had a lot of fun playing with his cousin Jenna. She was very nice and shared all of her toys with Hank, and did her best to make him laugh.

As we were getting ready to leave, Hank and Jenna were posed together on a chair in the living room and both me and Lisa snapped these cute pictures of the two of them.

That is just the cutest thing. As Hank and I left Lisa's, we went to Target to get a few things, and then we went over to Dana's to see her and Pop-Pop for a little while.

As usual, Hank had no problem letting everyone hold him and was just smiles for everyone. Alison and I would put him in the Pepsi Challenge against any other baby.

Dad was relaxing, and Hank and I got ready to leave for the party.

I dressed Hank in a new outfit I got him at Target, and we got ready for his Aunt Kelly's birthday party.

I couldn't wait for everyone, especially Alison, to see him. He just looks disgustingly preppy here doesn't he? I could just hear him in a Bill Buckley voice, "When I'm not...sailing, I like to read National Review..."

A sideways picture of a cute outfit.

Here are a couple of pictures from a few weeks ago of Hank in an outfit that his Grandma Beth made for him. He wore it to church on a lovely Sunday morning and was the hit of the day.

Saying Bye-Bye to Kiki

This morning Hank's Godmother Kelly departed Bristol to Europe via Atlanta. As I type this, I assume she is somewhere over the Atlantic on her way to Italy, Spain and France for the next six weeks. She is a big part of Hank's life, and we already can't wait for her to come back home. But the trip will be a good, once in a lifetime experience for her, and her life will be enriched for having gone. I know that she will be checking this blog for new pictures of Hank, and I promise that I will do my best to keep it updated.

Have fun in Europe Kelly, and we will see you soon.

Pop-Pop

Back in March right before the Spring NASCAR race in Bristol, my Dad Harry suffered a heart attack. Six bypasses later, he is doing real well, and Hank has gotten to see a lot of his Pop-Pop as Dad has undergone his recuperation.

Easter

Hank's first Easter was spent over at Alison's Grandmother's house in Coeburn. Hank, Alison and I all had a wonderful time, and the day was excellent all around.

Easter Morning

Hank's first Easter was a lot of fun. We began at home with his little Easter basket, [the candy was for me, which absolutely rocked]

EATING......YEAH!!!!

About a month or so ago, Alison's parents bought Hank his first high chair so he could start eating rice cereal and soon....vegetable puree. It seemed like Hank was excited, and I know he is interested in food, because he likes watching our favorite cooking show with me on the Food Network, Giada at Home. I think Hank could watch her show all day.

He really liked the whole process, especially when Alison let him have the spoon.

Alison was very excited to help Hank out, and get the whole food thing down. She watched him closely and made sure cereal stayed off the wall and floor.

Hank seemed to get tired halfway through, and seemed to want to take a nap.

Lucky for us he woke back up and tried to channel his inner Incredible Hulk.

After a good 20 minutes or so, he really seemed to figure out that the secret was to put what was on the spoon in his mouth, not to grab the stuff off the spoon and then stick the spoon in his mouth.

Uncle Bill

During my Dad's hospitalization, his brother Bill came to visit and got to meet Hank. If you don't look closely, you might notice that Bill looks a lot like my Dad.

Random Cuteness

I'm sorry there has been a gap between new posts, these last couple of months have been really hectic, and so I am very behind in publishing. I will have a bunch of new posts over the next few days, and to kick things off, here are some random awesome pictures to show off.
