Breakfast with Santa

This past Saturday we got to go to KP Duty, where Alison and I both worked, as well as met, and got engaged, hosted a breakfast with Santa Claus. Our old boss Lisa Martin invited us to come as a good way to kick off the celebration of Hank's first Christmas.

You can tell Hank and Alison are very excited.

Alison was very excited to get to go out for breakfast, and was especially excited about the "orange juice."

While Alison and I ate, Aunt Kelly volunteered to watch Hank, and I sneaked this great photo of the two of them.

Hank's cousin Josie also came to see Santa, and as you can see, she really enjoyed the food.

Unfortunately, I took this picture about two seconds before Josie decided to pull that straw.

Santa came out as we were eating, and said hello.

Lisa came by our table several times to make sure that Hank was having a good time.

Josie tries to show Hank how to sit on Santa's lap. Believe it or not, less than a minute after this picture was taken, Josie was able to tell us what Santa said.

And we ended up with this great photo of Hank and the big guy.

SNOW DAY!!!!

We came home from Breakfast with Santa to find our house and yard covered in SNOW. Alison and I were excited to celebrate yet another first, Hank's first snow day.

Hank didn't even really notice, he was tired already, but we couldn't resist getting some pictures of Hank in the snow.

Alison objected though to my idea about making snow angels in the yard with the baby. She said something about it was too cold, and looking back I guess she was right that it was time to go inside.

Here is the view from the front porch.

Hank Ushers in a Winner

Wow. 32-13. With apologies to Aunt Jennifer and the rest of the Daniel Family, Alabama defeats Florida for the SEC Title in the Georgia Dome.

Of course Hank and I watched it on TV, on a cold and dreary evening here in Bristol. Alabama was able to go up early, 9-0 and Hank was enjoying the festivities.

However, Tiffin missed the extra point and Florida came roaring back on a quick drive that finished on a beautiful Tebow touchdown pass, and Hank began to get a little upset.

However, when Hank saw the next Alabama drive that resulted in another score, he was calm and confident. He had a look in his eyes that said this was it, Alabama was going to win its first SEC Title in 1o years.

On Mark Ingram's third touchdown of the game, Hank could smell victory. Or maybe it was just his diaper.

He looks pretty happy when Daddy tells him the final score, and I would swear he said, "Ingram for the Heisman" and he smiled and laughed as I led him through a rousing chorus of Rammer Hammer Yellow Jammer.

Needless to say, Hank is looking forward to the BCS Title Game in January, and in this picture he seems to be saying "ROLL TIDE, and bring on the Longhorns!"

Our Smiling Baby

Over the last couple of weeks, Hank has begun to smile, laugh, gurgle and flail his little arms and legs. Alison and I are continually amazed at how our baby is already growing.

During the day, Hank usually stays in a pretty good mood. He saves his crying and screaming for the early evening hours as we are eating dinner.
