As Hank is moving onto solid foods, it is a lot of fun watching him try new stuff. We started him awhile ago on rice cereal and he likes that pretty well, and now we have begun the process of introducing him to new foods.
While we were beginning this process, Hank's doctor also told us that he was old enough to try cheerios, and he could eat a few at a time while he worked on picking them up. This is an important part of his motor skill development.
While he loves playing with them....
and playing with them....
and playing with them...he doesn't like to eat them. The couple of times they actually make his mouth, he spits them out, or even better, he swallows them and then they come up again!
One thing we did want to try was making hank his own baby food. Here is Alison's first attempt at green beans. Hank was a bit skeptical at first, but he warmed up to them. We like that because we can make this with fresh veggies and the wand blender...
and for less than babyfood costs freeze it and we are good for the week. I like to say too that it doesn't look much different coming out.
For all of this though, right now, Hank still likes his milk best.
