Professional Pictures

A few weeks ago, Alison and I had a photographer that we met at a baby expo several months ago come over and take some pictures for us. These are a part of what came out of that session, and the both of us could not be more pleased in how these came out.

Clearing the Camera

The last post prompted me to try and clear out some pictures we have that I could not put into an overall theme, but were good enough to share.

I think that this is Alison's favorite outfit that we have put Hank in so far, it might just be me, but it seems that he wears it everyday.

In preparation for the Third Saturday in October, Uncle Sid and Aunt Doris Jane stopped by for
a visit. It was a memorable one, as Hank painted the fireplace with pee, from a good 3 feet away.

Later that day Hank and I were watching the Alabama-Tennessee game, and for a while in the fourth quarter, things were looking a bit scary for the good guys from Tuscaloosa.

Hank wasn't worried though. It was almost like he knew that Alabama would block the potential game winning field goal.

I told Alison that if he had been born on this weekend, his name would have been Terence Cody Scanlan.

Alison said that during the day, Hank is usually pretty laid back, and she took this picture to prove it.

Hank and his cousin Josie, aren't they both precious?

Look at all of the serious work being done while I am away.

A Late Post on Halloween- A Visit from Aunt Kristi

As we got ready for Halloween, we did not know what to dress Hank up for to celebrate the day. Most costumes seemed to be for bigger kids, and the suggestion of going as a Target employee, just like his Pop-Pop seemed to even be a good idea.

Honestly, Hank did not seemed too worried about his costume, so we just put him in some seasonal type baby clothes.

More importantly, Hank's Aunt Kristi was finally able to visit Bristol that weekend. After being delayed by horrendous combination of work and illness, Kristi was able to arrive Halloween weekend to see her new nephew.

As he seems to do with everyone, Hank immediately charmed Kristi, she seemed instantly smitten with him, and he seemed to really love her as well. She was able to hold him and feed him and he smiled at her.

Before our Halloween festivities, we got to go and see Hank's cousin Jenna in her adorable pig costume. This was easily one of the top two or three cutest things I have ever seen, and we got to hang out with her for an hour or so before going to Alison's Aunt's home for a night of food, fun and giving out candy.

Once we arrived, Alison's grandmother got hold of Hank, and somehow he stayed in her arms for the next several hours. He seemed really happy in her care, and it allowed us to relax a bit and have a fantastic time.

We spent part of the first day of November giving Hank his first bath. The remains of the cord fell off a few days earlier, so on a delightful Sunday afternoon we filled the tub with water and tried him out in it. As you can see above, at first he did not like it.

As the time in the tub went on, Hank began to get used to it.

He even seemed to sort of like it.

And then he was done, all nice and clean, and truth be told pretty happy.
